Miranda is a professional in her mid thirties living near Kentish Town who joined THRIVE Personal Training & Health to improve her general fitness, build strength, and feel better day to day. With a demanding career, she was keen to get regular training into her routine and create habits that supported both her physical health and overall wellbeing.
She was also thinking longer term. Seeing others struggle with mobility in their later years made her want to put good practices in place now, so her body stays strong and capable as she gets older.
The Challenge
Before starting the 6-Week Foundation Programme, Miranda wanted to feel fitter, stronger, and more consistent. Like many busy professionals, she knew what she should be doing, but getting regular training locked into her week was the biggest hurdle.
She wasn’t chasing anything extreme — she wanted training she could enjoy, progress with, and stick to.
The Turning Point
What made the biggest difference for Miranda was simply showing up. She attended all of her sessions, which helped training become part of her routine rather than something she had to think about.
She also pushed herself progressively, particularly with her strength work. One highlight was deadlifting — something she really enjoyed. Over the six weeks, she increased her deadlift from 40kg to 60kg, a clear sign of growing confidence and strength.
The Results
Over her six weeks at THRIVE, Miranda saw improvements across all of her lifestyle markers:
- Fitness increased by 2.5 points
- Diet improved by 2.5 points
- Sleep improved by 1 point
- Hydration improved by 0.5 points
- Relationship with stress improved by 1.5 points
Alongside this, she felt noticeably stronger, fitter, and more settled in her routine. Training became something she looked forward to, and she enjoyed the process as much as the progress.
As Miranda put it:
“I’ve loved getting regular training into my routine — and I didn’t expect to enjoy deadlifts as much as I do.”
What This Means for You
Miranda’s story shows how powerful consistency can be.
Turning up regularly, learning to push yourself safely, and enjoying the process are often the biggest drivers of progress — especially if you’re thinking about long-term health and longevity.
